Nathan began drawing at a young age then started painting at the age of 13. While attending the Roberto Clemente School for the Music and Arts he continued to develop his skills as a young artist. His dedication paid off as a high school senior when he received a Congressional Merit Award for one of his paintings which was submitted by his Art teacher George Schneider. After many years of studying he was faced with the decision whether to pursue art or become a computer technician, as fate would have it he chose to become a computer technician. This new path lead him on a journey which he was employed in computer operations at a major brokerage firm for 12 years. He continued to paint after work and eventually accepted severance package and began painting full time. He could be found hanging out in SoHo NY, displaying his work with other artist on Prince st. , Spring st. and various shows and galleries. The Art Student Showcase in Soho, The Brooklyn Art Gallery, the Hamilton Landmark Gallery in Harlem NY. and many others. Just prior to 9/11 he visited the city of Atlanta Ga. Amazed with his new surroundings, a breathe of fresh inspiration along with receiving so much love and support he decided to move there. As an artist he stated he needed this to evolve. In Atlanta he was and still is being mentored by one of the fathers of African American Art "Gilbert Young". He's learned as an artist and person you must continue to grow. Through the years Nathan stated:
I remain true to my passion.
it's who I am.
